Research and pricing
Research card values and calculate proceeds using your acquisition and selling costs.
Example prompts
- "Show the recent recorded sales and history for this exact printing and condition."
- "Quote deeper research for this card before spending a credit."
- "Reopen that research and calculate a grading-profit scenario using my specified grade and costs."
- "What sale price gives me $50 profit after my $40 acquisition cost and $5 postage?"
- "Check this slab's certification number for a verified stolen-card report."
Limited public research
Anyone can use search_card_sales, summarize_card_market and
get_card_price_history on the public connection. Results are a limited public
sample, not signed-in research depth. identify_card accepts text, not photos.
check_stolen_card preserves leading zeros in certification numbers; no matching
verified report does not establish ownership or guarantee that a card is clean.
It does not submit a recovery report.
The free compare_selling_costs, calculate_required_sale_price and
explain_selling_method tools calculate selling economics for trading cards in
USD. Estimates depend on supplied acquisition costs, shipping and fee assumptions.
The required-sale-price calculator accepts buyer shipping revenue and actual seller
postage as separate inputs; comparison estimates do not deduct actual postage.
A calculator's
seller_plan changes the payout estimate; it does not grant account permissions.
Deeper account research and saved reports
Free and paid signed-in accounts can call quote_card_research. After approving
the quoted query and one-credit cost, research_card returns deeper available
recorded sales, market values and exact-printing history. It requires research-spend
permission and sufficient credits. New successful research currently costs one
credit; failed/no-result research and conflicting-price evidence do not charge.
read_card_research reopens a saved report for zero additional credits. It can
calculate supported grading scenarios from that evidence using a member-specified
company, assumed grade and costs. It does not run fresh research or predict a grade.
Reports can include both raw condition history and graded context.
Results and safeguards
The assistant must retain returned amounts, dates, conditions, sample counts and printing details. Missing periods stay missing. Conflicting raw prices do not establish one reliable current raw valuation. Catalog matches and images help select identity; they do not prove current value. Inline charts and images depend on client support. Fee calculations exclude costs not supplied or modeled, and external marketplace fees are estimates. Review the returned assumptions.
