Tools reference
This technical reference covers all 43 registered commands: eight Public, 19 core Companion, ten Companion show commands, and six Seller commands. Start with the overview for seller outcomes and access for plan and permission boundaries.
Schemas below are snapshots of current repository registrations on October 12, 2026. They include every argument, nested field, required field, enum and advertised limit. Runtime validation may apply additional cross-field rules described below. Authenticated deployed parity remains unverified.
Request conventions
Use Streamable HTTP JSON-RPC with initialize, tools/list and tools/call.

Companion read commands require collection:read; write commands additionally
require collection:write. Only research_card requires research:spend
for spending; it does not require collection-write permission. Show commands
also require the eligible plan. Seller requires seller:read.
Cross-field validation and expected results
- Public card research accepts
queryoritem; one is required. Text identification usesqueryonly. check_stolen_cardaccepts a cert as text and preserves leading zeros. The legacycheck_kapture_certalias dispatches to it but is not advertised as a ninth tool.- Photo tools accept one front source, URL or base64, and identification accepts one back source where needed. Sports requires both; TCG needs the front. Omit images to open the supported photo chooser. Images must pass MIME, size, pixel, HTTPS and host checks. Saving strips metadata and converts to JPEG.
- Collection cost basis is USD dollars per copy. Legacy cent input is accepted but conflicting dollar/cent inputs are rejected. A copy ID denotes a distinct copy/holding. Quantities are totals, not retry increments.
update_collection_itemaccepts eithernotes(replace) orappend_notes(preserve and append), not both; combined notes cannot exceed 2,000 characters.correct_collection_cardrequires a chosen canonical variant or supplied identity. It preserves accounting fields and clears the old estimate.- Draft creation needs usable supplied identity, a collection item or a saved identification. Photo identification IDs preserve recognized fields; draft edits cannot modify published/ready/discarded drafts. No command publishes a draft.
read_card_researchneedsresearch_idor explicitmost_recent: true. It reads the caller's saved receipt; grading scenarios use stated assumptions and costs rather than a predicted grade.research_cardrequires approval matching the current quote and sufficient credits. Success charges once; exact replay returns the saved result. Failed/no-result or conflicting-price evidence does not charge.- Show allocation requires member-approved eligible stock and quantities; price is per card in USD and affects the show only. Packed/returned quantities require actual counts. Opening Checkout requires fully packed allocation. Preparing a sale requires the selected show Checkout and does not establish payment. Agreed prices must be positive. Reconciliation requires all allocated items, resolved transactions and notes for discrepancies.
- Seller comparison requires an item from the caller's inventory and exact printing evidence. Inventory and pending recommendations are capped at 20 with
hasMore. Repricing preview needs a pending recommendation, positive price and explicit unique channels. Its review link is not approval authority; receipts are historical.
Companion returns card images and research/photo panels where the client supports
them. It serves resources/list and resources/read for those panels. Public
and Seller do not advertise a saved prompt library or account-action panels.
Errors distinguish invalid input, unavailable evidence, missing permission and
credit refusal; no error grants permission to retry paid work without approval.
