Take payment and check the market at the table.

POS and Pulltrader on your phone — take payment and check comps before you name a price.

The decisions are fastest exactly where the information is worst.

At a table you have seconds. The difference between a good and a bad answer is usually whether you can check what the card actually sold for recently without making the customer wait.

And sales taken on a cash box are sales your records never see, which means the reconciliation happens days later from memory.

  • Prices set from memory rather than recent sales
  • Money taken with no item attached to it
  • Buy decisions made without a market check
  • Days of reconstruction after the show

What you can actually take with you

Everything below works from a phone at a table with bad lighting and worse wifi.

Card payments at the table

A POS checkout session or an invoice QR the customer scans, settling to your own Stripe Connect account.

Cash sales, recorded

Keep the cash and still have the sale attached to the item. No Stripe, no platform fee on cash.

Comps on your phone

Pulltrader for iPhone for identification, recent sold comps, and market context away from a desk.

Athlete context

PullScore, live stats, and athlete profiles for the name-driven conversations that happen at a table.

Pulltrader in Discord

/lookup card and /lookup athlete, useful when your crew is coordinating from a server rather than an app.

Sales that reach your records

Because POS writes against the item, what you sold at the table is in the same system as everything else on Monday.

Running the table

Two things to set up before you leave, and the rest is the show.

  1. Connect Stripe first

Connect Stripe so card payments settle straight to your own account.

  2. Bring connectivity

A hotspot belongs on the packing list — it keeps the register and Pulltrader running whatever the venue's wifi is doing.

  3. Check before you commit

Identify and comp on the phone before agreeing to a buy or a sale price.

  4. Take payment the way they want to pay

Card through POS, or cash recorded against the item so the sale still exists in your records.

Questions people ask

What do I actually take to a show?

You bring the whole operation. POS takes card and cash payments anywhere you have a connection, Pulltrader handles identification and comps from your phone, and everything writes back to the same inventory as your shop — so the table is a channel, not an island.

What does a table sale cost me?

On your own channels you keep your listed price — your buyer covers the 3.25% + $0.40 checkout fee by default, and cash sales carry none. Stripe’s own processing applies on card sales.

What if there is no signal?

Bring a hotspot and you are covered. It is the one piece of kit worth packing alongside the cases.

Do I need the iPhone app specifically?

It is the most practical surface one-handed at a table. Pulltrader also runs on the web and as a Chrome extension if you are working from a laptop.
