Describe it, find it, price it.
Catalogued to real products, binned and shelved — described well enough to list correctly months later.
Untracked inventory is capital doing nothing.
Cards you cannot describe accurately cannot be listed confidently, so they sit. That never shows up as a loss anywhere, which is why it persists.
Inconsistent records also poison everything downstream: comps matched to the wrong product, prices set from the wrong comps, and reports built on both.
- Items described differently depending on who entered them
- Duplicate records nobody catches
- Cards that never make it from intake to listed
- Comps matched against a similar-sounding product
What inventory management covers
Included from Operations.
Several ways in
Consignment submissions, bulk upload, in-person submission, and add-card tools, so how inventory arrives does not decide whether it gets recorded.
Standardized products
Product mapping and taxonomy attach each item to a catalog product rather than to a free-text description.
Image processing
Card images handled at intake instead of becoming a separate photography backlog.
Duplicate detection
Duplicate listings and records surfaced and deduplicated, with admin tooling behind it when something needs correcting.
Storage locations
Bins and shelves recorded against the item, so finding a card again months later is a lookup rather than a hunt.
Priced per channel
One master price per item, with Auto or Manual list prices and a net readout for each channel it sells on.
Getting from a pile to an inventory
Fix the flow first, then work the backlog.
Fix intake
Everything arriving from today gets catalogued properly. That stops the problem from growing while you fix it.
Bulk upload what exists
Existing records come in directly, and Pulltrader enriches the ones that arrived thin on condition or pricing.
Work the backlog by value
Highest-value items first. The slab you cannot describe matters more than a box of commons.
Price from one anchor
Set the master price once, and let each channel derive from it.
Questions people ask
Can I import from a spreadsheet?
Bulk upload is the path, and catalog mapping resolves your rows to standardized products so they list cleanly. Pulltrader fills in condition and parallel where the spreadsheet was thin.
Does Pulltrader track where a card physically is?
Yes. Storage locations down to bins and shelves are part of inventory management, and Pulltrader's Operations Agent can suggest a location when you are putting cards away.
What about cards consigned to me?
Consigned inventory is tracked with its consignor attached, so sales attribute correctly and payouts reconcile. Intake, the consignor record, and the payout trail are all part of Operations.
How is bulk and commons handled?
Not card by card — individually recording ten thousand commons costs more than the commons. Binz pricing exists on the marketplace precisely because the low end needs different economics.
Describe it once, correctly.
Everything downstream — comps, pricing, listings, reporting — inherits the quality of that record.
