The counter, connected to everything else.

Counter sales on the same item as online — POS to Stripe, cash on the record.

A disconnected register costs more than it looks.

Every in-person sale that does not reach your records is a gap in your inventory count and in your understanding of what actually sells.

Generic retail systems also assume restockable SKUs, which fits sealed product and fits singles badly.

  • Counter sales that never reach inventory
  • Cash taken with no item attached
  • Two systems that have to be reconciled
  • No customer record beyond who happened to be working

What in-person selling covers

Included from Business.

Card payments

A POS checkout session or an invoice QR the customer scans, run as a destination charge to your Connect account.

Cash sales

Recorded against the item, with no Stripe involvement, no platform fee, and no transfer. You keep the cash.

Flat fee on cards

$0 seller fee — you keep your listed price. Your buyer covers the 3.25% + $0.40 checkout fee by default, and cash sales carry none.

Money settles to you

Item value and applicable tax route to your own Stripe Connect account rather than being held centrally.

Same inventory as online

The sale posts against the item, which is what keeps in-person and online from drifting apart.

Customer profiles

Buyer history and insights on the plans that include customer ownership and analytics.

How in-store connects to everything else

The connections are the point; taking a payment is table stakes.

  1. To inventory

Sales post against the item, so your online channels are working from the same quantity.

  2. To your bank

Destination charges mean proceeds land in your Connect account rather than waiting on a platform payout cycle.

  3. To customers

Purchases attach to buyer records where your plan includes customer profiles.

  4. To reporting

In-person sales sit in the same transaction and payout records as everything else.

Questions people ask

What do I need to take card payments?

A Stripe Connect account for card payments, so proceeds land in your own account, plus a connection. Cash sales need neither.

Is POS on every plan?

POS is included from Business, alongside the storefront.

Does Pulltrader handle trades?

Offers and trades are first-class — card-for-card and cash-plus-trade, with soft locks so tradeable inventory is never double-committed. They run as negotiation flows across your inventory rather than being locked to one till.

How is shipping handled if a customer wants something mailed?

Shipping is not modeled as a separate line item on POS card checkout today. Tax can route to your Connect account when the sale is configured as a shipped purchase with automatic tax on.

Make the counter part of the system.

Every in-person sale is inventory and customer data you are otherwise throwing away.
